Tom Uher

TOM R. UHER, CIC, LUTC: Tom left the steel industry in the late 1970s to pursue a career in insurance, earning his Life, Health, Property, and Casualty licenses in 1977. Since then he has earned several honorable designations including: Life Underwriting Training Council (1979), Certified Insurance Counselor (1995), Certified Professional Insurance Agent (2015), Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (2022), and his yearly America’s Health Insurance Plan certification. In addition to his designations, one of Tom’s proudest career accomplishments was becoming Regional Sales Manager of Midwestern Life Insurance Company in 1986. Finally, in 1999 Tom opened Champion Insurance Agency and in 2004, Champion Insurance of Austintown, his current location. For 45 years, Tom has helped residents of the Mahoning Valley and surrounding areas find insurance plans that best fit their needs.
